The Swiss crypto platform achieves a milestone on a key business area in the third quarter, while institutional clients flock to crypto throughout the year.
Bitcoin Suisse’s revenues from staking commissions and from its custody business grew in the first nine months of the year, the crypto platform writes in a shareholder update on Wednesday.
In the third quarter, Bitcoin Suisse achieved a milestone of 2 billion Swiss francs ($2.2 billion) of assets in its key staking business. Custody commissions after nine months exceeded the figure for 2020, the statement says.
Broker fees edged lower in the third quarter, but were still triple the prior year’s first nine months. Strong demand from institutional investors for cryptocurrencies also helped bolster its growth.
